High wear resistance and similar structure as High speed tool steels. The deposit gives already a very good hardness in the first layer. A buffer layer with OA 4370 or OA MnCr is recommended in case of sensible basematerial or old Hardface-layers.

CEWELD® AA R500 is a seamless rutile cored wire that offers excellent modelling ability, therefore excelently suitable for position welding at high currents. The weld deposit shows reliable impact properties down to -60°C. Particularly suitable for MAG orbital welding and for welding on ceramics in all positions. CTOD tested at -20°C. Extremely low diffusible hydrogen content (on average below 3ml/100g).

CEWELD® AA R500 PIPE is a seamless rutile cored wire with very good modelling properties, therefore excellent all-position welding with higher currents. Applicable down to -40°C. Low spatter loss and remarkably easy slag removal. Due to the seamless manufacturing process, the content of diffusible hydrogen in the weld metal is extremely low (on average less than 3 ml/100 g). For the entire storage and processing time, < 4 ml/100 g is guaranteed according to AWS.
