CuSi-3 welding wire for Mig brazing

Copper can be alloyed with several other elements to obtain new alloys with unique properties, currently almost the complete car industry switched from steel wires (ER 70-S6) to copper-silicon wires (CuSi-3) because of its lower melting point. This lower melting point results in higher travel speeds, better wetting, better gab bridging and even a excellent corrosion resistance (like requested when welding galvanized plates). The result is less distortion of the plate, less welding time, less spatters and better corrosion resistance. On the left under this menu you'll find more details abut the different copper alloys.
